More about Little Orchard
The village first opened to the public in 1948. Back then most of our visitors travelled by rail (Great Western Railway) but unfortunately in 1963 ‘Dr Beaching’ put an end to the St Agnes station. Now most of our guests arrive by car, via the A30.
Little Orchard comprises of 36 Self Catering Units tastefully laid out in a wooded valley, just a few minutes stroll from Trevaunance Cove. There is ample Parking, with some units having parking next to the Chalets, some are accessed via short footpaths.
The complex has for over fifty years been owned and run by the Harman family.
A footpath leads directly from the site to the coast foot path: in both directions the coast path offers wonderful cliff walks. Another footpath takes you to St Agnes village. In fact the area around St Agnes seems to have more footpaths than roads: a haven for walkers of all ages. The walk up to St Agnes Beacon is a must. Owned by The National Trust it is the highest point for miles around, and commands impressive views of the surrounding district.
